Hurricane Helene Volunteer Mission Trip

Recovery continues for families affected by Hurricane Helene, and there is still meaningful work to be done. Join Emerge Ministries for a volunteer mission trip focused on essential home repairs as part of our ongoing Hurricane Helene rebuild effort.

Together, we will provide practical help and encouragement while sharing the love of Jesus Christ with those continuing to recover.

How You Can Help

Planned projects include:

• Installing temporary roof protection.

• Cleaning and treating areas affected by mold.

• Repairing and reinforcing wall and floor framing.

• Installing replacement subflooring.

• Building a temporary kitchen countertop and installing a sink.

• Completing bathroom repairs and plumbing work.

• Assisting with materials, site cleanup, and general project support.

  
  

Volunteers with carpentry, construction, plumbing, and home repair experience are especially needed. Please include your skills and availability when registering so our team can coordinate assignments.

What to Expect

Each workday will begin with prayer and a safety briefing. Responsibilities will be assigned according to volunteer skills and project needs, with opportunities for prayer and fellowship at Mt. Sheba.

• Lodging: Volunteer lodging is planned at Mt. Sheba Academy Thrift Store in Weaverville.

• Arrival: Volunteers may arrive no earlier than 6:00pm on November 17, 2026.

• Lunch: Emerge will provide lunch each day on site.

• Work assignments: Tasks and the daily schedule may change based on site conditions and progress.
