SMS Terms and Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Emerge Ministries text-messaging program.
Program Description
Emerge Ministries uses SMS and MMS messaging for two-way case-management communication with individuals receiving disaster-relief assistance and other client services offered by the ministry.
Messages may include responses to inquiries, intake follow-up, application and case-status updates, requests for documents or information, appointment and site-visit scheduling, service reminders, resource coordination, construction or disaster-recovery updates, and other communications related to requested assistance.
Consent to Receive Messages
By providing a mobile telephone number and opting in, an individual consents to receive SMS or MMS messages from Emerge Ministries concerning their inquiry, application, case, appointment, requested assistance, or other client services.
Individuals may also consent by initiating a text conversation with Emerge Ministries at 910-375-3088 or with the Emerge Ministries Disaster Relief team at 252-349-0988. Consent is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving services or assistance.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies according to the individual’s needs, requested services, and case activity.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by the recipient’s mobile service provider and wireless plan. Emerge Ministries is not responsible for charges assessed by a mobile carrier.
Opting Out
Recipients may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages. After opting out, the recipient may receive one final message confirming the request. No additional messages will be sent unless the individual subsequently provides consent again.
