Pam’s Story
Pam at her property reflecting on the journey from Loss to Hope When Emerge first met Pam , she was living in what was left of her lifelong family home — a place that had once been filled with laughter, warmth, and family gatherings. Hurricane Helene changed everything. The floodwaters poured in, destroying her floors, ceilings, and furniture, and leaving behind extensive mold and structural decay. The roof sagged, ceilings had begun to collapse, and the entire house carried

Mark & Sheri’s Story
Not just building homes, rebuilding hearts and futures for generations to come. When Emerge first met Mark Edwards and his soon-to-be wife Sheri , they were focused on one thing — protecting their two young grandchildren, ages two and three. Both children had come from unsafe home environments due to parental addiction and incarceration, and Mark and Sheri had stepped up selflessly to give them the love, care, and stability they desperately needed. Then came Hurricane Helen

Jason’s Testimony
Jason is a disabled single father who is raising three minor daughters. Their mother passed away 10 years ago. Emerge found them living in a shed and camper after their family home, a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom structure located beside a creek, was completely destroyed during Hurricane Helene. As the floodwaters rose, Jason and the girls were forced to evacuate and climbed atop a stone shed for safety. From there, they watched as their home, belongings, and irreplaceable keepsake

This is what Ministry looks like today - Trailer Repair!
In today’s This Is What Ministry Looks Like Today, Dr. Terry Norris shows the behind-the-scenes reality of ministry work — spending the day under a trailer repairing wiring and lights instead of sitting in an office. After hours of troubleshooting, he finally got everything working so the trailer can now be used to haul framing materials and a mini excavator for home construction in Western North Carolina. Dr. Norris shares how even the most frustrating days produce fruit wh

Tarressa & Christopher’s Story
Rebuilding Hope on Family Land When Hurricane Helene tore through Fairview, North Carolina, it didn’t just wash away houses — it washed away the sense of safety for families like Tarressa’s. Tarressa’s single-wide mobile home sat property she co-owned with her brother, Christopher. It was her safe haven — a modest, love-filled home where she cared for her two young grandchildren on the weekends. But when the floodwaters came, her home was completely submerged. The structu

This is what ministry looks like today...
The honor to speak to many pastors in the surrounding areas of Jonesboro and Fayetteville Georgia. We are in the suburbs of Atlanta. In just a few minutes this room will be full to speak about partnering and unity in the faith as presented in the book of Ephesians chapter Four. It truly is a privledge to be positioned by God for such a time as this. Please pray for Emerge today and what God would have His ministry display to the body of Christ.
